# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Its the kind of meal that makes everyone gather around the oven watching for those perfectly golden tots
  • The crispy potato topping creates this incredible texture contrast against the creamy beef mixture underneath
  • Leftovers somehow taste even better the next day, if they last that long
02 -
  • Draining the beef fat really does matter or youll end up with a greasy layer on top
  • Dont rush the final cheese melting step or it wont bind properly to the tater tots
  • Letting it rest for 5 minutes out of the oven makes serving so much easier
03 -
  • Line your baking dish with foil for the easiest cleanup ever
  • If your tots seem frozen together, give the bag a good whack on the counter
  • Room temperature ingredients mix more smoothly than cold ones
